Dry Needling
Dry Needling is a technique used to treat myofascial pain that uses a dry needle, without medication, that is inserted into a trigger point with the goal of releasing/inactivating the trigger points and relieving pain” (Virginia Board of Physical Therapy 2007).
It is not to be confused with the Traditional Chinese Medicine technique of acupuncture.

Cupping
Cupping is a method of placing cup like materials on specific areas of the body that create a suction effect that is used to treat inflammation, increase blood circulation and help with pain. I use silicone cups and glide them over a massage oil to increase circulation to a muscle. I do not do wet cupping (which draws blood to the surface of the skin).
Electrical Muscle Simulation
This is a device that causes muscle contraction using electrical impulses and is a great tool to help rehabilitate muscles that have atrophied through disuse, especially after an injury or surgery to create a better mind-body connection to a specific muscle group to improve their function.
Kinesiotape
This is a stretchy tape made of cotton and nylon made to mimic the skin’s elasticity. It is a medical-grade adhesive and water resistant tape that stays on your skin for 3-5 days. It can reduce pain by influencing the sensory receptors on your skin through elasic recoil and it can improve circulation and reduce swelling. So this tape is used to treat injuries, support weak areas, stimulate muscle, enhance performance,and manage scars
Low-level Laser
A laser is a device that produces a light that can reduce pain, accelerates connective tissue repair and can act as an anti-inflammatory agent. It is painless and non-invasive. I use my laser machine a lot for nipple trauma from breastfeeding, and caesarean scar tissue healing acceleration as well as for reducing scar tissue. It can also be used for sciatica, nerve pain tennis elbow, TMJ pain and so much more.
Hands-on Therapy
Hands-on therapy, also known as manual therapy, encompasses a variety of techniques where therapists use their hands to apply pressure on muscle tissue and manipulate joints. This method is aimed at decreasing pain, increasing range of motion, reducing or eliminating soft tissue inflammation, facilitating movement, and improving function.
