Managing Pain
Pain is a pain. It is a barrier to moving well, enjoying life
and doing all the things you love doing.
I can’t tell you how many times I have hear: “I was waiting for it to get better, but then it didn’t”.
I can’t tell you how many times I have hear: “I was waiting for it to get better, but then it didn’t”.
Pain can be multifactoral and it’s important to understanding
the driving factors behind it.
Is it an acute injury, e.g. you sprained your ankle, or hurt
your neck working at the laptop for too many hours or your back
is feeling niggly after a golf game.
Is it chronic pain? Whereby you are experiencing pain far beyond
the point of tissue healing, and yet your pain continues to
persist. The body and brain make adaptations when they feel
under threat, have been immobile for too long. These changes can
stay despite your muscle, tendon or ligament being fully healed.
Interesting right? This requires someone who has studied pain
management to assist you and luckily I have through the Train
Pain Academy.

Treatment Techniques for acute pain may include:

symptoms.
